When WhatsApp stops working, the first impulse is to call support and sort it out by voice. WhatsApp has no phone line: not in Kazakhstan, not in any other country. Here we look at which support channels actually exist, how to use them, how to tell real support from scammers, and why things work very differently for a business on the official channel.
Does WhatsApp offer support in Russian
Yes, but not in the form Kazakhstan businesses are used to. WhatsApp has a Help Center in Russian: a library of articles on common problems. There is also an in-app contact form: you describe the problem, and the reply comes by email or in the chat.
What is missing: a hotline phone number, a 24/7 operator, an office in Kazakhstan and guaranteed response times. Replies come from Meta support, and for common requests the answer is usually a template.
How to contact WhatsApp support from your phone
The steps are the same for regular WhatsApp and the WhatsApp Business app.
- Open Settings in the app.
- Go to Help.
- Choose Contact us.
- Describe the problem in your own words (Russian is fine) and attach a screenshot.
- Send the request and wait for a reply to the email linked to your account or in the app chat.
If the app will not open, for example when the number is fully banned, you still have the form on the WhatsApp website under "Contact WhatsApp" and the Help Center.
How to tell real support from scammers
A whole industry of fraud has grown around bans: people get messages from "WhatsApp staff" who promise to lift a ban for money and ask for the SMS code. The signs of real support are simple.
- All support email addresses end in @support.whatsapp.com. Any other domain is a scam.
- The official support account inside WhatsApp has a checkmark and the label "Official support account". No label means it is not support.
- Support never asks for the SMS verification code or the two-step verification PIN and never charges for unbanning.
- Promises like "we will unban you for 30 000 tenge" or "we have a contact at Meta" are always fraud.
If someone asks you for the SMS code, you are losing your account, not recovering it. The code is needed to log in on someone else's device, and that is the only reason anyone asks for it.
Why WhatsApp support is usually not enough for a business
Contacting support helps with technical problems: the registration code does not arrive, notifications do not work, the backup is lost. When a work number is banned, the situation is different.
- An appeal against a ban is a single attempt. The answer comes automatically, and there is no one to argue with.
- Timing is not guaranteed: a request can wait a day or a week for a reply. All that time the business has no contact with its customers.
- The reason for the ban is almost never given: the wording "violation of the Terms of Service" does not explain what exactly you did wrong.
What to do in the first hours after a ban and how not to waste your only appeal is covered separately: WhatsApp banned: what to do in the first hours. If your status says "account under review", that is not a ban yet, and it has its own set of steps.
How support works on the official WhatsApp channel
The official WhatsApp Business API is connected through a Meta partner, and that partner becomes your first line of support instead of an impersonal contact form. You feel the difference right away.
| Situation | Regular WhatsApp number | Official channel through a partner |
|---|---|---|
| Messages are not sent | In-app form, template reply | Request in the dashboard, analysis by Meta error code |
| Template rejected | Not applicable | The partner explains why and helps rewrite it |
| Sending restricted | Reason not disclosed | You see the number's quality rating and current limit |
| Business verification | Not available | Guidance all the way to the blue checkmark |
| Language | Russian and English, in writing | Kazakh and Russian, real specialists |
At WazzaBee, requests are handled right in your dashboard: a ticket, a conversation with support, a history of requests. According to the service's actual data, half of all requests get a first reply in about an hour and a half, and the replies come from people, not an autoresponder.
What the official channel gives you besides support
Moving to the WhatsApp Business API is not only about having someone to write to when there is a problem. An official number works under Meta's rules, so it is not banned for chatting with customers or for broadcasts to a contact base that has given consent. Your company name is shown instead of the number, verification is available, and the chat history is stored in the dashboard and in your CRM, not on a manager's phone.
The official line plan: 29 $1.99 per month, unlimited conversations. Messages are paid separately, by category:
| Message type | Price | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Utility notification | $0.0286 | Order status, booking, reminder |
| Verification code | $0.0286 | OTP and one-time passwords |
| Marketing | $0.086 | Promotions, offers, broadcasts to your base |
| Reply to a customer in the service window | $0.0286 | Every agent message in a conversation |
| Incoming message | $0.0021 | Any message from a customer |
Prices apply from October 1, 2026 for Kazakhstan and change following Meta's rate card.

If your number already works in the WhatsApp Business app
You do not have to lose your chat history. An existing number is moved to the official API in Coexistence mode: the app on your phone keeps working, and chats also flow into the dashboard and your CRM. How it works is explained in the article on WhatsApp Coexistence.
